maintain.ace.author is an editor for creating documentation about a machine – experts in different locations can use it at the same time.
maintain.ace.author enables the structured capturing of maintenance procedures. For each procedure, pre-conditions, required competences, tools and supplies can be entered. The maintenance activities to be performed are described step-wise and media-rich – this includes capturing the conditions after a successful maintenance.
Documents are exported to the maintain.ace.server, as printable PDF documents or in Web formats for publication on the Internet.
maintain.ace.author is based on the S1000D standard. Being a Java application, the editor can be used on different operating systems.
